Abstract
► Maintaining timber supply is important for achieving climate change mitigation. ► We develop methods for securing timber supply and estimating emission reductions. ► Conventional logging is likely to be practiced because of short-term financial gains. ► Reduced-impact logging could maintain timber supply and reduce carbon emissions. ► Financial incentives are needed to encourage the adoption of RIL for the REDD+ scheme.
