Abstract
⺠Maintaining timber supply is important for achieving climate change mitigation. ⺠We develop methods for securing timber supply and estimating emission reductions. ⺠Conventional logging is likely to be practiced because of short-term financial gains. ⺠Reduced-impact logging could maintain timber supply and reduce carbon emissions. ⺠Financial incentives are needed to encourage the adoption of RIL for the REDD+ scheme.
