Abstract
⺠We studied the enactment of scientific visions in three LTSER Platforms under construction. ⺠At this early stage, processes were just as important as products. ⺠Outcomes varied according to local, historically formed contexts. ⺠The platforms provided researchers with a rare opportunity to learn to collaborate.
