Abstract
► Farmers in the northwestern region of Bangladesh perceived drought as the consequence of climatic and non-climatic causes. ► Drought is more frequent in this region than past years. ► Farmers experience drought impacts in their livelihood and perform various adaptation practices to endure with drought. ► Farmer's perception towards drought has positive outlook which helps to identify suitable drought adaptive practices to cope with drought. ► This study further suggests some recommendations which help farmers and institution to deal better with drought in future.
