Abstract

White organic electroluminescent devices based on non-doped-type multiplayer that included [2-methyl-6-[2-(2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-1H, 5H-benzo[ij] quinolizin-9-yl) ethenyl]-4H-pyran-4-ylidene] propane-dinitrile (DCM2) and 10-(2-benzothiazolyl)-2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-1,1,7,7-tetramethyl-1H, 5 H, 11 H-(1)-benzopyro yran –o (6,7-8-i, j) quinolizin-11-one (C545T) ultrathin layer have been fabricated. By appropriately controlling the ultrathin layer thickness, the device shows a maximum efficiency of 9.37 cd A−1 at 8 V, maximum power efficiency of 4.20 lm W−1 at 6 V, and maximum luminance of 23,840 cd m−2 at 18 V, respectively. The emission spectrum of the device covers a wide range of the visible region and can be sensitively adjusted by the thickness of DCM2 and C545T. The white emission with CIE coordinates ranging from (0.47, 0.35) at 7 V to (0.35, 0.34) at 15 V was obtained.
