Abstract
► Memory effect (ME) is delayed emission of POPs from flue transfer lines. ► ME increases emissions of POPs, making it difficult to meet emission standards. ► ME may lead to wrong emission factor calculations of POPs. ► ME may lead to wrong assumptions on processes and pollution control systems. ► ME can't be eliminated but can be reduced by good management practices.
