Abstract
⺠Memory effect (ME) is delayed emission of POPs from flue transfer lines. ⺠ME increases emissions of POPs, making it difficult to meet emission standards. ⺠ME may lead to wrong emission factor calculations of POPs. ⺠ME may lead to wrong assumptions on processes and pollution control systems. ⺠ME can't be eliminated but can be reduced by good management practices.
