Abstract
⺠Oyster shells have great potential as raw material due to their high CaCO3 content. ⺠We assessed the environmental consequences of recycling oyster shells using LCA. ⺠Shell recycling had a lower environmental impact than landfill disposal. ⺠A greater impact was found when the recycling facility was more than 323 km away.
