Abstract
⺠Investigates active-transport (AT) walking behavior in Halifax, Canada. ⺠Analyzes 3810 AT walking episodes, from time diary and GPS co-ordinate data. ⺠AT walks are shorter (usually less than 600 m) and faster than recreational walks. ⺠Home is most common origin and destination. ⺠Also important are restaurants and bars, grocery stores, and banks.
