Abstract
► BRT service quality preferences vary based on the residential location of its users. ► These preferences are evaluated for the proposed BRT service in Dar-es-Salaam (DART). ► Utility functions derived from a binary logit model were analysed spatially in GIS. ► DART utility values significantly vary spatially depending upon distance to CBD. ► The DART is perceived to offer a better service than the existing public transport.
