Abstract
⺠We introduce the new BRT implementation in Istanbul. ⺠It runs through a high demand corridor over the Istanbul Strait having special transport geography. ⺠Its effectiveness is evaluated within a sustainable mobility framework. ⺠BRT provides effective solution to crucial transportation problems in Istanbul. ⺠Despite some operational and planning issues, it receives social and political acceptance.
