Abstract
⺠This paper challenges the commonly held opinion that travel time should be considered as lost time. ⺠Activities undertaken during travel may influence the satisfaction with travel. ⺠Talking to other passengers has the strongest positive effect on STS. ⺠Activities related to entertainment and relaxation lead to lower travel satisfaction. ⺠Activities during travel have a more positive effect on the commute back home.
