Abstract
⺠Cost overruns are a global phenomenon but size varies with location. ⺠Dutch rail projects perform significantly better than projects in other countries. ⺠Dutch road and tunnel projects perform similar to the rest of the world. ⺠Geography should be considered in explaining cost overruns.
