Abstract
⺠Measures are urgently needed to cut carbon emissions of international conferences. ⺠Decentralization works if venues are selected based on the origin of applicants. ⺠A two venue event may cut emissions by 20% with good participation at each venue. ⺠An effective carbon reduction strategy should play at the global level.
