Abstract
⺠A sustainability assessment method for industrial waste treatment is proposed. ⺠The indicators address efficiently all aspects of sustainability, without overlap. ⺠The application of these indicators is discussed in depth. ⺠The sustainability assessment method is applied to ASR treatment processes. ⺠Recycling combined with energy recovery was the most sustainable ASR treatment option.
