Abstract
⺠We show generic water accounting from the industrial operations perspective. ⺠We enable the assessment of water-related risks for industrial sites and pathways. ⺠We compare freshwater intensities for fuels and electricity supply chains. ⺠Technology and location are key for freshwater intensities. ⺠Both biofuel and electricity production can be relatively water-moderate.
