Abstract
⺠We examine factors that affect travel behaviour within neighbourhoods in Tyne and Wear, north East England, UK. ⺠Ten selected communities that represent traditional and suburban neighbourhoods are used as case study. ⺠Multivariate analysis of cross sectional data show that traditional neighbourhood group is more sensitive to soft transport. ⺠Generic measure to promote sustainable mobility should be selectively targeted.
