Abstract
Our study suggests that actively pushing when the baby's head is crowning, a supine maternal birth position and oxytocin augmentation more than 30Â min in second stage, were associated with increased risk of OASI when compared to intact perineum. A kneeling maternal birth position was associated with a decreased risk of OASI.
