Abstract

This paper studies decentralized event-triggering in networked control systems (NCSs), where all communication/computation tasks are executed asynchronously. A decentralized event-triggered data transmission scheme is proposed under this framework. We show that if the weighted sum of all minimal transmission periods and all types of delays is bounded, the resulting NCS is asymptotically stable. This condition suggests a tradeoff between the system performance and the overall communication and computational resources, which can serve as a basis for scheduling data traffic over the network and also computational tasks.
