Abstract
- We describe the hospitalizations in patients with type 2 diabetes in Spain during 2011.
- Cardiovascular disease accounted for the majority of admissions.
- Cardiovascular disease had a higher prevalence in the female population just like in the United States.
- Cerebrovascular disease had the highest values of length of stay and in-hospital mortality.
