- No risk factors have yet been associated with the CDC's new reference level for childhood lead poisoning of 5 μg/dL.

- Being Black, male, and two and three years old were identified as risk factors for the new reference level in this analysis.
- Pre-1950 housing and poverty persist as risk factors for the new reference level according to multivariable analysis.
