Abstract
- Perceived value and burden of an online detailed diabetic family history assessment versus a simple enquiry was assessed.
- Users of both tools regarded these as highly useful and understandable, without being too time consuming.
- Users of the detailed familial risk assessment experienced less feelings of worry than users of the simple enquiry.
- Results suggest that a detailed diabetic familial risk assessment is acceptable to use in a public health approach.
