Abstract
► We psychophysically studied an arm lift task with lift frequency as the dependent variable. ► With a few noteworthy exceptions, frequencies obtained were much higher than typical in psychophysical studies. ► Subjects employed whole body movements in maintaining lift rhythms. ► Changes in lift weight of less than 4 kg had a significant impact on physiological responses.
