Abstract
⺠Effect of lifting tasks and gender on activity of neck muscles was studied. ⺠Posterior neck muscles showed higher activity than anterior neck muscles. ⺠Females used anterior muscles to a greater extent than males. ⺠Higher activity of posterior muscles was observed for males than females. ⺠Distinct neck muscle activity pattern with respect to lifting heights was observed.
