Abstract
Executive dysfunction is common in obesity and has significant implications for weight loss treatment. Twenty-four patients completed a measure of executive functions before participating in a medically supervised weight loss program. Working memory, emotional control, and initiation were associated with 8-week weight loss. Executive function assessment may be used as a predictor of weight loss outcomes.
