Abstract
Brief outlines of the multioperators-based schemes for computational aeroacoustics characterized by very high orders and good resolution properties are presented. The seventh- and ninth-order multioperators optimized schemes for the Navier–Stokes equations are tested and applied to the 2D screech problem. Clear pictures of screech waves generation and propagation obtained with modest computational expenses are produced. The results of the calculations are shown to agree satisfactory with the experimental data. The scenario of screech generation based on the visualizations of the obtained flow and acoustic fields was found to conform with the shock leakage theory.
