Abstract
⺠We considered sound attenuation and dispersion in gas-vapor-droplet systems. ⺠We took into account the effect of transpiration on droplet evaporation. ⺠We extended the theory of Davidson (1975) for including transpiration. ⺠We validated the theory with the data of Cole and Dobbins (1971) for low droplet concentration. ⺠We demonstrated the importance of transpiration at both low and high droplet concentration.
