Abstract
A series of careful impedance tube measurements using different sizes of glass fibre and felt samples have demonstrated that frame resonance effects result from slightly oversize samples. The appropriate size of a sample is investigated while also avoiding air leakage. Diameters of 0.5 or 1.0 mm less than the inner diameter of the tube are found to avoid these effects.
