Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the p-norm stability for vortices of geophysical flows over a surface of variable height that are strict maximizers of the kinetic energy relative to all isovortical flows. In this note, stability means nonlinear stability in the p-normp-norm on the space of vorticity.
