Abstract
âºE- and N-cadherin have different stability and calcium-dependent dimerization. âºEctodomains were characterized individually to find the origin of these differences. âºDomain 2 for E- and N-cadherins differ in number and distribution of charges. âºSalt-dependent differences in stability correlate with differences in charge. âºDifference between E- and N-cadherin affects stability and perhaps dimerization.
