Abstract
A two-dimensional two-phase mathematical model of forest fires is considered. The model is derived by averaging the three-dimensional equations over the thickness of the forest fuel material layer. The results of a demonstrative numerical simulation of the process of forest fire spread using multiprocessor computer are presented.
