Abstract
⺠We construct axisymmetric vortices with swirl and toroidal magnetic field. ⺠We derive results for thin core rings and spherical vortices. ⺠We present an unsteady contour dynamics formulation. ⺠An initial condition in the form of a ring splits into dipolar tori.
