Abstract
The laminar boundary layer flow of non-Newtonian fluids on a continuous moving porous flat plate with suction or injection is governed by the nonlinear differential equationf‴(η)+f(η)f″(η)=0f‴(η)+f(η)f″(η)=0with boundary conditionsf(0)=-C,f′(0)=ξ,f′(+∞)=1,where η is the similarity variable, f(η)f(η) is related to the stream function of the laminar flow, and C and ξ are parameters. This paper presents a rigorous proof of the existence of a new set of solutions for the boundary value problem for ξ<0ξ<0 and any C<0C<0.
