Abstract
- Fruits of Xylopia parviflora are used to make traditional Cameroonian soups.
- The essential oil composition was dominated by monoterpene hydrocarbons.
- The oil strongly inhibited the growth of tumour cells MDA-MB 231 and HCT116.
- The oil exhibited important anti-inflammatory activity on RAW 264.7 macrophages.
