Abstract
► The methanol and ethyl acetate extracts of Melicope glabra were found to be antioxidant active. ► Antioxidant-TLC assays applied on active extracts revealed presence of several antioxidant compounds. ► The good antioxidant activity is due to high level of phenolic content. ► Three coumarins including a new pyranocoumarin and sesamin successfully isolated and exhibited good antioxidant activity.
