Abstract

âº Active Hexose Correlated Compound (AHCC) is used to boost the immune function. âº AHCC induced the production of GROÎ± and MCP1 in IEC18 cells and of IL8 in HT29 cells. âº AHCC induced IL1Î², IL6 and TNFÎ± production in human monocytes (THP-1 cells). âº The stimulatory response was evoked by TLR4/MyD88, MAPK and NF-ÎºB dependent pathways. âº AHCC may work in part by enhancing mucosal barrier function and defence.
