Abstract
► Anthocyanins, flavones and flavonols were analysed in 108 lotus cultivars. ► A flavonol isorhamnetin 3-O-glucuronide was first detected in lotus petal. ► Relationship between lotus petal colour and content of flavonoids was suggested. ► Some lotus cultivars with high content of anthocyanins were selected.
