Abstract
► Phytosteryl sinapates (PS) and vanillates (PV) were chemoenzymatically synthesised. ► Structures of PS and PV were elucidated by FTIR and HPLC-MS/MS. ► High antioxidant activity of phytosteryl sinapates was observed. ► Esterification rendered PS and PV a higher antioxidant activity.
