Abstract
⺠We examine the effects of five extracts of fenugreek on hypercholesterolemic diet rats. ⺠The total phenolics and total flavonoïds contents were highest in the methanol and the ethyl acetate extract. ⺠The ethyl acetate extract of fenugreek showed a hypocholesterolemic effect and antioxidant activity. ⺠A qualitative difference in the composition of phenolic compound in the different extracts.
