Abstract
⺠Inhibitors of histidine decarboxylase were obtained from Filipendula ulmaria. ⺠Four ellagitannins were isolated as a potent inhibitors. ⺠One of the four ellagitannins was a novel compound. ⺠These ellagitannins exhibited a noncompetitive type inhibition with Ki 0.35-1 μM.
