Abstract
⺠Fucus and Polysiphonia species could be a potential source of natural antioxidants. ⺠Fucus species were shown to be the richest source of tocopherols. ⺠High phenolic content correlated well with most antioxidant assays. ⺠No clear correlation existed between phenolics and Fe2+ chelating activity.
