Abstract
⺠Ginsenoside Re and its metabolites were quantified in rat urine and faeces by LC-MS/MS. ⺠The major ginsenosides excreted in urine and faeces were ginsenosides Re and Rg1. ⺠Further deglycosylated metabolites (ginsenoside F1 and PPT) were detected in faeces. ⺠The total recovery of ginsenosides excreted over 24 h was approximately 46%.
