Abstract
⺠The method showed a linear response range up to 400 μg/L for alkenals and alkadienals. ⺠Excellent repeatability (RSD < 10%). ⺠Relative recoveries ranged from 80% to 110%. ⺠SPME-GC-MS method provides LOQs below the sensorial threshold of target aldehydes. ⺠The demetilant column decreases aliphatic aldehydes but increases alkenals, hexenal and alkadienals.
