Abstract
- Influence of Mo dopant atom on the CO adsorption on small Ptn+ clusters was studied.
- Substitution of a single Pt atom by a Mo atom reduces CO adsorption probability.
- The average number of CO adsorbed on Ptn+ decreases by about 10-15%.
- Pt19Mo+ cluster shows maximal effect.
- Electron transfer from Mo to Pt is likely responsible for improved CO tolerance.
