Abstract
- Ideal operating conditions of an advanced PTR-MS instrument operated in Kr+ mode are calculated.
- A dilution ratio of 1:40 between sample and buffer gas results in maximum sensitivity.
- For accurate quantification a dilution ratio of 1:500 is necessary.
- We apply the theoretical findings on indoor air analysis and engine exhaust studies.
