Abstract
												- Energy transfer from excited Pt+ to H2, D2 and N2 was measured with ICP/SIFT/MS.
- Â Â Ground state Pt+ was removed by reaction with N2O upstream in the SIFT at 295 K.
- New ground state Pt+ cations were produced with H2/D2 that again reacted with N2O.
- Application of rovibrational energy resonance criteria was fraught with uncertainty.
