Abstract

- Electron attachment to CH3Br was studied for temperatures 303-1100 K.
- The reaction yields only Br− ion product for temperatures 303-1100 K.
- The CH3Br electron attachment reaction closely follows Arrhenius behavior.
- Kinetic modeling is found to have limited usefulness for CH3Br attachment.
- The Ar+ + CH3Br reaction was studied at 302 K, yielding CH3+ and CH2Br+.
