Abstract
- Dissociative electron attachment (DEA) to chlorosilanes in the gas phase is studied.
- An enhancing effect of an aromatic side group on DEA has not been observed.
- The rate of reductive coupling of chlorosilanes in THF using Li is investigated.
- Reductive coupling is accelerated by an aromatic side group.
- The influence of an aromatic side group on DEA and reductive coupling is discussed.
