Abstract

- Appearance sizes of multiply-charged biomolecular clusters are reported.
- Calculations for the alanine decamer dication show a strong rearrangement within the cluster to accommodate the charges.
- No 'magic' number in singly-charged cytosine clusters are found after subtraction of multiply-charged species contribution.
- Important delayed evaporation of one monomer on the μs time scale is found for cytosine clusters.
