Abstract
- Collisions of Ar+, N2+, and D2+ with thin mixed beryllium-tungsten films of different composition were studied.
- Mass spectra of product ions were recorded at surface temperatures up to 450 °C.
- Product ions Be+, BeH+, BeOH+; Li+, Na+, K+ and hydrocarbon ions were observed.
- No sputtering of W or its compounds was detected.
- Yields of Be+ from D2+collisions strongly increased at surface temperatures above 300 °C.
