- Absorptions of FC6F+ and HC6F+ in neon matrixes were observed for the first time.
- The A2Î g â X2Î u electronic transition of FC6F+ is identified at 569.3 nm.
- The A2Î Â â X2Î electronic transition of HC6F+ is identified at 586.3 nm.
- Structures are determined as linear carbon chains terminated with heteroatoms.
