Abstract
⺠A novel approach to investigating the effect of pyrolysis and formulation (raw materials) on microstructure. ⺠Special cure cycle was conducted. ⺠The specimens were subjected to post curing treatment for different lengths of time including 72 h, which was selected as the best time for post curing. ⺠Appropriate curing, post curing, carbonization and rheological characteristics as well as the percentages of suitable solvents and cross-linking agents in the resin lead to a good matrix distribution around the filaments.
